Photonics: the science of producing, detecting, and manipulating light (photons). This includes a huge range from small to large, from microscopes to huge telescopes in space.

Beginning in 280 BC the lighthouse at Alexandria showed ships the way with a mirror by day and fire by night. Today‘s “fires” bring airplanes safely to ground at airports worldwide.

Our experience and competence includes projects in illumination systems for the semiconductor industry, laser-ranging systems for security applications, subassemblies for satellite communications, motion detection systems to monitor interior spaces, and color-measurement systems based on spectrometry for the graphics industry.

Specialized software in different areas of optics and photonics makes it possible—in contrast with handmade prototypes and improvised test setups—to arrive quickly at the best and most economical solutions.
